I watched a tv program called Jurassic Fight Club and it was pretty good. Have any of you watched it. I think it was a repeat but I had never seen it. There used to be more tv series about dinosaurs but not too many now. Do you know of others on soon?

I just checked the Wikipedia comments on Jurassic Fight Club and found this "Jurassic Fight Club is a paleontology-based television series on History which premiered in the USA in July 2008. For its later UK broadcast it was re-versioned and is known as Dinosaur Secrets." So then is Dinosaur  Secrets the same series only dif is that it was shown in the UK?

You are lucky to have the complete series - convenient to watch and rewind and watch again. I'm with you mesozoicrising, let's have a second season.

Just checked on Netflix and Jurassic Fight Club is available as a DVD only but not on the direct streaming "watch it now" feature of Netflix.

Just checked on amazon and you can get season 1 for $9.99USD.

Dinosaurs: Return To Life? available on Amazon for $19.95 http://www.amazon.com/Dinosaurs-Return-To-Life/dp/B001AS5XOO

I think I may get the 2 together. Really sounds interesting.

Have you ever read the book "How to Build a Dinosaur: The New Science of Reverse Evolution" by Jack Horner? I haven't read it yet. I understand it goes into the reverse engineering of turning bird into dinosaur and goes into evo-devo research developments.

Yes i own the book and the dvd reurn to life, gthey both are a jack horner type, jack horner and a guiy named hans larsen discover that dinos ARE related to birds. larsen takes a chicken egg and watches development day by day, in the first 2 weeks of develpoment a chicken embryo actually has extra vertabrae in the tail (i think about 16 where a chicken has 4-5) the arms are below the body like a dino and it actually grows teeth until 3 weeks into development when these genes turn off and the chicken one turn on, then they go into how they could genetically make a dino and the ups and downs of that, i dont wanna ruin it for u, but they are both amazing! horners book is more in depth but the dvd will not fail you, they evem show you the images and such of all the discoveries in the embryo in the dvd. oh man i could go on for hours! haha

I think I saw the chicken egg development with a narration similar to what you said a couple of months ago. Very interesting stuff and I don't think there is a spoiler in there. Genetics is an awesome subject but I am thinking that we ain't 'dat smart yet to go in and frankenstein chickens but that won't stop anybody from trying.

RaptoGallus frankensteinei and is on the prowl at a hen house near you! :o

Jurassic Fight Club is a refreshing look at Dinosaurs. Although the fellows on there dream up a story to go along with the finds I have learned some facts from watching the shows.
