All my life
I've had a fascination with nature and my "creatures" as I called them. Growing up in Maine, I was always bringing something home, in a bottle, for my parents to admire. My interest in creatures soon turned to dinosaurs and drawing.
I would sit on the floor and study the art of Rudolf Zallinger for hours and try to draw whole scenes of my own on poster paper. As I grew older my focus shifted to photography and art. I studied photography in Denmark and worked several years as a photographer. My

art turned to wildlife art and I have been displayed in many galleries and shows in Maine.
It wasn't until I read Robert Bakker's book The Dinosaur Heresies and Raptor Red that I had a resurgence of interest in prehistoric life and with the excitement of all the new discoveries I began to paint paleo subjects. I am interested in recreating the smaller life forms and the plants of the time. I try to recreate what it would be like to peek under a rock in the late Cretaceous Period.

Seeing creatures scurry for safety, or swim in a warm sunlit cove in the Devonian period or maybe to show what it would be like if you were a tiny bird-like dinosaur hunting for dragonflies.
I like to work in watercolors, colored pencil and acrylics.
If you enjoyed visiting and viewing my artwork I would like to hear from you or if you have a project that needs my artistic skills, I am accepting commissions. You may contact me at the email address below.
