Then many years later, after seeing the TV series "Walking With Dinosaurs", I again became interested again in prehistoric life and it was then that I began my work in paleoart. I was born August 25, 1963 in Liège; Wallonie, Belgium and I live in the small village of Manhay, between Liège and Bastogne. I'm a naturalist and I like studying nature
|
and walking in the forests of the Ardenne. I'm mainly a self-made artist but I followed some artistic evening lessons in the Cultural Center of Durbuy. In 1997 I began a comic-strip "fantastico-naturalist" series, "Reptile People" where I enjoyed drawing broad landscapes and huge, knotty trees, elements which are still found in my paleoart today. I began paleoart in late 2000, but I kept my comic-strip style. I still have an artistic gallery on the Dinosauricon. I'm a member |
of the Dinosaur Mailing List, and this gave me the opportunity to display a large life reconstruction of Paralititan stromeri in the Bahariya mangroves on the Egyptdinos website: you can see it at http://www.egyptdinos.org/PT_Bailly.html Currently, I work only with pencil but I am planning to begin color illustrations quite soon. For me, drawing dinosaurs in their natural environment makes me find a land of "lost paradise".
