Working as an architect and contractor in Mexico, at 39 years old I am finding that paleo-art is becoming more and more my main activity.

This interest started pretty early in life. My Dad and Granddad gave me my first books on prehistoric life when I was 3 or 4 old; I still have those books. I remember the magnificent books with Zdenek Burian's artwork. I think I knew how to say stegosaurus before I could spell my own name right! As a boy there was always either a pencil and paper or a piece of clay in my hands.

I had always had an interest in nature but it was in the eighties around the beginning of the 'Dinosaur Revolution' when this interest in me really took off.

I was in college and got hooked again with the work of Stout,

Hallet, Greg Paul and others. I started again doing some sculpture, which I took to model contests here in Mexico.

People were getting a real interest in dinosaurs when 'Jurassic Park' was released in 1993 and my work too was also attracting attention. I had the opportunity to meet some great people after that.

Dan Lorusso who at the time was with the Dinosaur Society, invited me to an art show at SVP '94 in Seattle and from that time on I've become more and more involved in the world of paleontology and paleo-art.

My main goal is to show the diversity of life through the ages. That's why I do so many different animals, always looking for the more unusual subjects. I try to keep the

scale constant, most of them are in 1/35th scale, which is a common scale for armor and human figures, by doing this you get to compare and get a fairly good idea of the size and appearance of the animals. I represent these animals, not as monsters or sci-fi creatures but as they were in real life.

There are more 1/35 series coming in the near future. First it will be a series on marine creatures, which include not only reptiles but also mammals and fish. Then more ornithiscian dinosaurs like ceratopsians, ankylosaurs and stegosaurs.

I welcome your suggestions so feel free to contact me via e-mail.
