'Battle in the moonlight' Two ferocious

"Battle in the moonlight"

Two ferocious "raptors" (Dromaeosauridae) fight for the territory... they belong to rival groups. Animals like these had been identified through teeth, collected in Sao Paulo and Minas Gerais, Brazil. Only recently it was possible to identify the groups of theropods that they inhabited the region during the Late Cretaceous. One of these groups are Dromeosauridae. These creatures until then were only known in the northern hemisphere. This is an evidence that confirms an interconnection between Laurasia and Gondwana in Late Cretaceous.
