"The lord of the Amazonas"

Another day is ending on the Amazonas River. On an edge of the river, three young, gigantic Purussaurus brasiliensis have awakened from their rest. They are preparing for a nocturnal hunt.

They are about 17m (56')long and are the biggest crocodilians known that have ever lived. Fully grown adults could grow to 25m (82')in length) and are believed to have lived in the Amazonian Basin between 12 and 5 million years ago.
